What people ask before they choose.
Is Sachi Organics certified organic?
Their pages say organic on fibers, covers and fills, and no certifier, licence or standard is named anywhere on the site; a buyer asked on one product page whether the cover is certified under a textile standard, and no answer is shown. Our cotton and wool pillows are GOTS Certified Organic as finished pillows under licence GOTS-10229, printed on the page.
Does Sachi offer a sleep trial?
No. Their refund policy takes pillows back within 30 days of purchase only if they are unused and in the original packaging, sale items are final, and you pay the return shipping. One Amazon buyer was refused for missing the 30-day window on a pillow used a few times for minutes. Ours is 60 nights on a pillow you have slept on, with the label on us and a full refund.
Does Sachi charge for shipping?
Yes. Their shipping policy quotes carrier rates at checkout, by UPS or USPS, on every order. Every Circadian order ships free, and the return inside 60 nights is on us too.
Why is Circadian's cotton pillow more expensive than Sachi's?
Their cotton pillow is $93 at Standard and ours is priced above it, and what the difference buys is the finished-pillow certificate with the licence printed on the page, free shipping out and back, and 60 nights to sleep on it with a full refund if it is not yours. Both are Texas organic cotton in an organic cotton sateen cover with a zipper.
Is the Sachi wool pillow organic?
Their wool pillow page calls it natural wool batting from domestic family farms, Dorset and Columbia sheep, and never calls it organic; only the cover is described as organic cotton fibers. Their page also says the pillow may settle 25 to 30 percent within the first couple of months. Ours is organic wool from New Zealand farms inside organic cotton, certified as a finished pillow, and it opens at the zipper with a refill sold.
Does the Sachi cotton pillow go flat?
Two buyers on Amazon say it compressed overnight and felt thin for the price, and their own page says natural fiber pillows compress over time. Cotton is the most tightly packed fiber fill we make, ours opens at the zipper as standard, and a refill bag is sold for the year it wants more.
Does Sachi make a Standard-size buckwheat pillow?
No. Their hull pillow is the Japanese Size Support Pillow, 14 by 20, at $69 bare or $100 with a sateen cover, in buckwheat or millet. Our Buckwheat Pillow comes in a Standard 20 by 26 with about 8 pounds of USA-grown hulls, air-jet polished and UV sterilized, and the Buckwool Hybrid sits beside it with a wool side.
Does the Sachi buckwheat pillow leak hulls?
An Amazon buyer of this pillow says the zipper does not stay shut and the hulls are everywhere, a buyer of their small support pillow on their site says its zipper gaps, and a buyer of their neck pillow found twigs and leaves among the hulls. Ours are air-jet cleaned and polished before they go in, behind a full-length zipper, and the pillow is filled and sewn by hand in New Jersey.
Which Circadian pillow is closest to a Sachi pillow?
Fill for fill: the Organic Cotton Pillow for their cotton, the Wild-Harvested Kapok Pillow for their kapok, the Organic Wool Pillow for their wool, and the Buckwheat Pillow with the Buckwool Hybrid beside it for their hull pillow. Each opens at a zipper, has a refill sold, ships free and comes with 60 nights, slept on.
Where are Sachi pillows made?
Handmade in their Albuquerque, New Mexico studio, in their words, by a family company. Every Circadian pillow is filled and sewn by hand in New Jersey.
