Does a buckwheat pillow make your neck sore at first?
Several Hullo reviews describe a stiff neck in the first week before it settled, and one buyer removed six and a half cups of hulls before it fit. That is the height: hulls interlock and hold your neck exactly where you set it, so the first job is to take hulls out until your ear sits over your shoulder. Ours arrives full so the only adjustment is downward, and the Buckwool Hybrid gives you a wool side for the nights you want something softer.
Does the Hullo pillow smell?
One of their reviews mentions a funny smell for the first few days that wore off. Ours are cleaned with air and ultraviolet light rather than a chemical wash, so nothing was added that could smell.
