It can while the height is wrong. A five-star Hullo review describes a stiff neck in the first week, until the reviewer took out 6.5 cups of hulls. Hulls flex under your head, then lock and hold your neck in line all night, so the first job is to take hulls out until the height fits how you sleep. How do I set the height on night one?
Open the zipper before your first night and take out more hulls than feels right: on your side, your head should rest level with the rest of your body, tipped neither up toward the ceiling nor down into the mattress. On your back you need much less height, just enough to fill the hollow behind your neck so your chin stays off your chest. Sleep three nights at a height before changing it again.
