Why ours, in five lines

  1. You get 60 nights to sleep on the pillow. Send it back inside 60 nights, even slept on, and you get a full refund once it reaches us, with a prepaid return label and no restocking fee. None of the three PlushBeds wool and latex pillow pages we read accepts a return once the pillow ships; their wool pillow page says: "Because we make and adjust the firmness of your pillow by hand, we cannot accept returns."
  2. The finished Organic Wool Pillow is GOTS Certified Organic (Global Organic Textile Standard), license GOTS-10229, issued by Oregon Tilth, and we will send you the certificate. PlushBeds' wool pillow page claims GOTS with no certificate number tied to the pillow, and the wool certificate on their certifications page covers one 2022 shipment of UK wool.
  3. Every pillow we make arrives full, with more fill than most people keep, and a zipper on the short end, so you set the height. PlushBeds sets the firmness of its Organic Wool Pillow by hand before it ships, and its page does not say wool can come out.
  4. We sell a refill bag for every fill, so a settled pillow goes back to its height instead of being thrown away. PlushBeds sells no refill.
  5. Four sizes of each, from Travel 12 by 16 inches to King 20 by 36 inches. Their Standard shredded latex pillow is 24 by 15 inches, and their Adjustable Wool Pillow comes in Queen only.
  6. No height can be calculated for you. A 2021 review in Healthcare looked for the right pillow height and found no optimum for back or side sleeping, and no link between the height that works and the measurements of a sleeper's head or neck. Every pillow we make opens at the zipper, and we sell a refill bag for every fill.

What PlushBeds does well

PlushBeds costs less at Standard: $169 for its Organic Wool Pillow and $119 for its Shredded Latex Pillow, against our $209 and $169, as of October 2026. Its pages carried 97 reviews at 4.9 stars for the wool pillow and 164 at 4.9 for the shredded latex pillow when we read them.

Its Queen-only Adjustable Wool Pillow arrives at a high loft for you to remove tufts, is machine washable and carries a 5-year warranty, in their words.

PlushBeds also makes a shredded latex pillow certified organic under GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard), certificate CU865931, a solid latex pillow, and a contoured side sleeper pillow of latex and wool. We make none of these.

Their Organic Wool Pillow page says the firmness is set by hand before it ships and does not say wool can come out, though buyers in their review widget say they take wool out. Our Organic Wool Pillow arrives full in Travel, Standard, Queen and King, with a zipper on the short end. Lowering it means lifting a layer off the outside of the stack, at the crease if it is joined.

Does the PlushBeds latex pillow still have kapok in it?

Not by its page today. It was sold as the Shredded Latex & Kapok Pillow until October 2026, and its page now lists the fill as certified organic, finely shredded latex, with no kapok named. PlushBeds sells no kapok pillow. Our Wild-Harvested Kapok Pillow is all wild-harvested kapok from Ceiba pentandra seed pods in Java, Indonesia, soft and light like down, at $119 for a Standard, as of October 2026.

Is the PlushBeds shredded latex pillow certified organic?

The latex is, under GOLS (Global Organic Latex Standard), certificate CU865931, which names the pillow on their certifications page. The cover is described as breathable cotton on the product page, and an answer to a buyer says the cotton case is GOTS certified; the cotton licence CU1007386 on their certifications page is scoped to mattresses and bed linen. Our Tree-Tapped Latex Pillow's fill is certified to OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Class 1, the strictest class, from an FSC certified rubber-tree source, in an organic cotton cover. We never describe our latex as organic.

Is the PlushBeds wool pillow certified organic?

Their Organic Wool Pillow page claims GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) with no certificate number tied to the pillow. Their certifications page shows a GOTS cotton licence, CU1007386, scoped to mattresses and bed linen, and a 2022 GOTS transaction certificate, X9085-128, for one shipment of UK wool; neither names the pillow. Our finished Organic Wool Pillow is GOTS Certified Organic under license GOTS-10229, issued by Oregon Tilth, so it is certified organic inside and out, and we will send you the certificate.

What does the price difference between PlushBeds and Circadian buy?

At Standard, their Organic Wool Pillow is $169 and their Shredded Latex Pillow is $119, each shown against a higher "Total Value" that PlushBeds says reflects other brands' prices; ours are $209 and $169, as of October 2026. The difference buys 60 nights to decide with a full refund, since theirs cannot come back once shipped. We also sell a refill bag for every fill, which PlushBeds does not offer, and ours comes in four sizes, with a 20 by 26 inch Standard, where their shredded latex Standard is 24 by 15 inches.

How long does a PlushBeds pillow last?

Their Organic Wool Pillow page recommends replacing it every 2 to 3 years, with a 3-year warranty. Their Shredded Latex Pillow page says it does not clump or flatten over time, under a 3-year limited warranty prorated after year one. Our Organic Wool Pillow lasts 3 to 5 years and our Tree-Tapped Latex Pillow up to a decade, and a refill bag brings either back to its height.

Where are PlushBeds pillows made?

In their words, both the Organic Wool Pillow and the Shredded Latex Pillow are handcrafted in California; the wool pillow page says the wool comes from growers in the USA. The Adjustable Wool Pillow's page does not say. Every Circadian pillow is handmade to order in our New Jersey workshop, which has been making pillows since 1981.

Which Circadian pillow is closest to the PlushBeds Shredded Latex Pillow?

The Tree-Tapped Latex Pillow. Both are shredded Dunlop latex in a cotton cover. Ours is 100% Hevea sap, poured in small batches so it sets evenly, and it pushes back instead of sinking. It arrives full with a zipper on the short end, so you take fill out until the height fits how you sleep, from $89 for a Travel to $219 for a King, as of October 2026.

Does PlushBeds sell refills for its pillows?

No refill of any kind was among the 72 products on their site when we read it on October 29, 2026. We sell a refill bag for every one of our six fills, so when a pillow settles, a refill brings it back to its height instead of throwing it away.
