Half buckwheat, half wool. Flip it when you need to.

This pillow is two pillows in one. Buckwheat hulls on one side, wool on the other.

The buckwheat side is firm and stays cool. It holds its shape exactly where you put your head. The wool side is softer and feels more like a traditional pillow, with cooling and moisture-wicking properties.

We pre-polish our buckwheat hulls so they're quieter than regular buckwheat pillows. If you've tried buckwheat before and found it too noisy, ours is different.

Adjustable fill. Free shipping. 60 nights to decide if you like it.

Questions? We've got answers

What is a buckwool pillow?

Buckwool is a hybrid fill that combines buckwheat hulls (structure + airflow) with wool (softness + temperature/moisture regulation). You get buckwheat’s support with a smoother, quieter feel.

  • Best at: Support without “hard” feel, temperature balance, customization
  • Best for: Side + combo sleepers, people who like support but want some cushion
  • Not ideal for: Ultra-plush pillow lovers, or anyone who wants very low/no texture
Is buckwool quieter than buckwheat?

Typically yes. Wool softens the feel and can reduce the sharpness/rustle sensation compared to straight hulls.

Does buckwool stay cool?

Wool is naturally temperature-regulating, and the structure remains breathable. Many people find it a good balance of comfort + airflow.

Is buckwool good for ear pressure?

Often yes, buckwool is commonly the “buckwheat, but gentler” path for side sleepers who feel too much pressure with pure hulls.

How much fill is in each pillow?

Each Circadian pillow ships overstuffed by design so you can dial in the perfect height and firmness. Use the zipper to remove a little fill until your neck feels aligned and your shoulders can relax. Then store the extra fill for seasonal adjustments or future top-offs.

Are the buckwheat hulls certified organic?

The cover and wool uses certified organic fabric for traceability; buckwheat is a natural material but isn’t typically GOTS-certified, and certification isn’t the only indicator of comfort or quality.

If third-party certification is a must-have, we can point you to our certified organic options (cotton/wool).

That said, our buckwheat is air-jet cleaned and 1-sided vs the typical pyramid shape. This results in softer, quieter buckwheat hulls.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

How do you clean the hulls? Do you use chemicals or roasting?

We use a proprietary cleaning method using air-jet propulsions to avoid chemical treatments and avoid roasting/heat processing. We use multi-step air-cleaning and dust-removal methods designed to reduce fine particles and improve “pillow-grade” feel. This typically eliminates 60% of the buckwheat pillow crunch.

Is buckwool good for hot sleepers?

Often yes, air moves through the hull and wool better than many foams, but feel preference matters more than any single feature.

Can I buy extra fill later?

Yes, if you want to refresh loft over time or use hulls for other pillows/projects, we can help with bulk fill. Buy some here.

How do I choose the right pillow for me?

The fastest way is our pillow quiz (built to match sleep position + preferences to the right fill). If you’d rather talk to a human, email us and we’ll recommend a fit based on what you’re trying to solve.

When will I get my order?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

Is buckwool adjustable?

Yes, loft can be tuned, and we can help you dial it in for side/back/stomach sleeping.

When will I get my order?

We ship within 1-2 business days. Standard shipping takes 3-5 business days within the US. Email us at jacob@circadianrest.com if you'd like the tracking number and expected delivery date.

What is your sleep trial / return policy?

We honor a 60-night trial. Because many pillows can’t be resold after use and shipping heavy natural fills can be wasteful, we often use a “second life” return approach (keep/gift or donate/rehome) while still taking care of you financially.

Will this help with neck/shoulder discomfort?

Many customers shop for better alignment and support. The key is matching sleep position + loft + feel preference; we’re happy to help you get the fit right. Our 60-second quiz is the fastest way to find your pillow fit.

Does it have an odor when it arrives?

Natural materials can have a mild “fresh material” scent at first. Airing it out (and using a breathable pillowcase) typically resolves this quickly.

Can I get material samples before buying?

Yes, we can mail small material samples so you can feel the difference first (we typically charge a small amount to cover shipping). Please email us at jacob@circadianrest.com to request material samples.
