The Coyuchi Organic Shredded Latex Pillow is shredded latex in a double cotton cover, made in Sri Lanka, with a 30-day refund window. The Circadian Tree-Tapped Latex Pillow is slow-pour Dunlop poured pure with nothing blended in, filled and sewn by hand in New Jersey, with 60 nights on a slept-on pillow and a refill sold for the day it settles. Coyuchi prints no certificate number for the pillow; our latex carries FSC certified rubber-tree sourcing and no organic claim, and we say so.

Materials, their words: Fluffy shreds of naturally hypoallergenic latex. Harvested by tapping trees, organic Dunlop latex. An interior layer of jersey knit cotton, followed by a removable pillow protector in densely woven, 400 thread count sateen. Both covers are made from premium organic cotton and secure with side zippers. Pillow fill and shell are made in Sri Lanka.

I've owned three latex pillows over the years and this is the first one I'd buy again. It's supportive. It runs cool. Being able to pull pieces out to lower the loft is the kind of thing I didn't know mattered until I had it.

Is the Coyuchi shredded latex pillow adjustable?
Yes. Their page says to unzip the inner cover to rearrange or remove the fill. Every Circadian pillow opens along a full-length side zipper, arrives about a third fuller than most people keep, and we sell a refill bag for the day it settles, which Coyuchi does not publish.
Is the Coyuchi latex pillow too firm?
Several reviews on Wayfair's listing for it say so, one calling it too firm and springy even after removing some fill. Latex in shredded pieces pushes back rather than sinking, which is the whole appeal if you are leaving memory foam and a surprise if you are leaving down. Their own page says to plan on an adjustment period of several nights. Ours arrives full and you set the height through the zipper, so it is as firm as you leave it, and a handful less is a softer pillow tonight.
Does the Coyuchi latex pillow smell?
One review on Wayfair's listing for it described a strong smell on arrival. Ours is slow-pour Dunlop, tapped from the tree and poured with nothing blended in and nothing added to it.
Is Coyuchi's pillow certified organic?
Their product page says the pillow is certified under GOTS and the organic latex standard and prints no number. Their standards page names both standards and Fair Trade, again without numbers, and the only certificate on their site is a latex supplier's that expired in February 2020 and does not name Coyuchi. Our latex pillow has an organic cotton cover and FSC certified rubber-tree sourcing, and we do not call the latex organic. Our Organic Cotton and Organic Wool pillows are GOTS Certified Organic under licence GOTS-10229, printed on the product page.
What is Coyuchi's return policy on pillows?
Thirty days for a full refund, even if the pillow has been washed or worn, with a free return label, then up to 180 days for store credit less a $15 restocking fee. Ours is 60 nights, slept on, with the return label on us and a full refund, so the height is yours to reset for two months, not thirty days.
Which Circadian pillow is closest to the Coyuchi shredded latex pillow?

The Turiya is a molded latex pillow with a dip for your head, $188, and their best seller with 556 reviews at 4.1. It cannot be adjusted, and their own page says it may take time to get used to the realigned position. Testers writing for Hunker said it sat too high for them or felt flat on night one. A shredded pillow with a zipper lets you fix both, which is why we make ours that way.

Why is the Coyuchi pillow heavy?
Latex in shredded pieces is dense, and reviews on Wayfair's listing for it say a Queen is hard to lift with one hand. Dense is what pushes back under your head all night. The light one is our Wild-Harvested Kapok Pillow, about 2 pounds, and the closest thing to down we make.
