Compare brands

How we compare brands

Our comparison pages make the case for our pillows. That is why every fact about another brand has to be one you can check. These are the rules each page follows.

Where rival facts come from

We read each brand's own website: the product page, the FAQ, and the returns and warranty pages. Every rival fact on a comparison page repeats the brand's own wording. It links to the page it came from and shows the date we read it. When a brand has filed a public record, like a product registry entry, we name that record as the source.

A buyer's review is quoted as a buyer's words. We never treat it as a fact about the pillow.

How a row is graded

Each row gets one of three colors, and our side is graded on the same test as theirs.

  • Green means the claim says exactly what it is, and it checks out.
  • Amber means the claim is made without a number, a scope or a condition.
  • Grey means the brand does not offer it or does not publish it.

Our own numbers

Our prices are read live from our store, so they change on the page the moment they change for a buyer. Our star ratings come straight from Judge.me, the review service that asks buyers after delivery. Nobody types them in. Lifespans are the ranges we publish for each pillow, and the cost of a night always uses the low end.

What we never do

No brand on these pages pays us, and no brand can pay to change a row. We never give another brand a star rating it did not publish. If a brand leaves a spec out, the cell says “not published” rather than a guess. Where a page scores brands, the rubric is printed beside the score, and every point traces back to a published fact.

How often we re-check

Each page shows the date its rival facts were last read. We re-read every brand at least every three months. We also re-check sooner when a brand changes a price or a policy and someone tells us.

Corrections

If a fact about your brand, or ours, is wrong, write to us with the page and the line. We will read the source again within a week. When we change a row, the date on that page changes with it.
