Your Waterproof Pillow Protector
How to put it on and wash it so the waterproof layer lasts.
Tonight
- Zip the pillow inside
Slide the pillow in and zip it fully, so nothing gets in at the seam.
- Put your case over it
The protector stays hidden under your pillowcase, which you still change weekly.
- Leave it on
It lives on the pillow and only comes off to be washed.
Your first week
- It feels like soft cotton. The face is stretchy organic cotton knit that hugs the pillow.
- Heat still gets out. The film stops liquid but lets vapor through, unlike vinyl.
- A spill stops at the film. Water soaks the cotton, then stops short of your pillow.

Questions
Will I hear it when I move?
No. The thin film sits between two layers of cotton knit, so it never crinkles.
What is the waterproof layer made of?
A plant-based film from corn starch, under a tenth of the fabric, in a protector certified organic under the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), license GOTS-10229. It has GREENGUARD Gold.
Does it keep out dust mites?
It closes all the way around the pillow, and lab tests found its pores are smaller than 1 micron, so dust and allergens stay on the outside.
