What they were sent, and what they kept reaching for.
Each of these testers received one to three pillows, so none of this is a ranking of the whole line. It is what won inside the box they were given, and the reason they gave. Every quote is verbatim and every link goes to the exact paragraph where we are named, so you can read it in context.
The Good Trade·July 2026
“For me, this ended up being my favorite pillow on the list.”
Courtney Jay Higgins, Contributing Editor, medically reviewed by Dr. Jaclyn Tolentino
She was sent the Organic Cotton and the Organic Wool, both in King. She slept on the wool and it beat the other nine pillows she tested. Her husband took the cotton, found it too firm, removed a good chunk of fill through the side zipper, and it became his.

Interior Medicine·July 2026
“Among the healthiest pillows I’ve evaluated from a material standpoint.”
Dr. Meg Christensen, doctor-reviewed pillow guide
A physician who grades bedding on materials rather than marketing. She sent readers with neck pain to the buckwheat and readers who cannot find the right height to the wool, and she wrote out the reasoning for each so you can argue with it.

Sustainably Chic·July 2026
“Unlike many pillows that only use an organic cotton cover, Circadian’s pillow is GOTS-certified across the entire product.”
Sustainably Chic, sustainable living
She was sent two Organic Cotton pillows and put them first out of eleven. The line she led with is the one most brands hope nobody checks: whether the certification covers the fill you breathe against all night, or only the fabric wrapped around it.

Green Child Magazine·July 2026
“Circadian’s buckwheat hulls are pre-polished, and were tested to be up to 68% quieter than standard buckwheat hulls.”
Amity Hook-Sopko, Editor
A guide about how to choose rather than what to buy. It walks a parent through the fills, the certifications, and how to verify a claim in a public database instead of trusting a label. The section naming us is the buckwheat and wool hybrid.

The Filtery·2026
“That one sets Circadian apart from the other brands listed here.”
Abbie Davidson, on the buckwheat pillow
She was sent the Organic Wool first and the Wild-Harvested Kapok later. She names Circadian three times in one guide: for kapok, for pillows made in the USA, and for extra-firm support when someone with neck pain has tried everything else.

I’m Plastic Free·2026
Listed in the Plastic Pollution Solutions Directory.
Simona Paganetto, founder
A directory built for people trying to get plastic out of the house entirely. Bedding is one of the harder categories to solve, because the fill is usually the part nobody lists.

The number on the certificate is public. Go check it.
Reviewers keep landing on the same detail, so here it is plainly. On the organic cotton and organic wool pillows the Global Organic Textile Standard certification covers the finished product: the fill, the cover, the thread, and the dye process. Most brands certify the outer fabric alone and describe the whole pillow as organic.
The license is GOTS-10229, issued by Oregon Tilth, and it is searchable by anyone. The kapok, buckwheat, buckwool, and latex pillows use an organic cotton cover and sit outside that standard's scope, so we do not call them certified organic.

None of them sleeps the way you do.
Each of these testers got one to three pillows and found the one that fit them. A side sleeper who runs hot lands somewhere different from someone with morning neck pain, and different again from someone whose skin reacts to everything. Six fills exist for that reason. The quiz asks how you actually sleep and then explains why it sent you where it did.
