This is a Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) Certified Organic pillow protector, under license GOTS-10229 (Oregon Tilth). It is one of the few protectors that can make that claim. No PFAS intentionally added at any stage: GOTS prohibits PFAS as an input and verifies residues below 25 parts per billion.

It is waterproof and made with organic cotton, and it zips around the pillow so spills and sweat have no way in. It goes on under your pillowcase, so it does its job out of sight.

We choose every material and set every spec on this protector ourselves. It is sewn at the same bench as the pillows, by the same people, from the same organic cotton.

Two layers of Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) organic cotton knit, under license GOTS-10229, around a 1-mil cornstarch-based bio-TPU film. The film meets the GreenGuard Gold standard for low chemical emissions, and lab testing puts its pore size under 1 micron, which makes it a barrier to dust mites and bed bugs as well as to liquid, while water vapor still passes through so your pillow keeps breathing.

Skip bleach and fabric softener, which shorten the life of the waterproof film. Wash it with the sheets every week or two, and the pillow inside stays clean and dry for years.

A waterproof protector is only worth using if it does not cancel out the pillow underneath it. Most are solid polyester or a synthetic film that traps heat, so the breathable natural pillow you bought ends up sealed inside plastic. The face of ours is Organic cotton, so it stays soft and breathes against your skin. The finished protector is GreenGuard Gold certified, the low-emission tier used for products made for schools and childcare, so it does not off-gas the way synthetic covers do.

Love the idea of it and its great quality but the pillow cases are HUGE! I washed them twice in hot water and dried but they are still about 3 or 4 inches too big for my queen sized pillows.

Thanks for the kind words on the quality. Our Queen protector is cut at 20 by 30 inches, the size of our own Queen pillow. Queen pillows from other brands often run smaller, and a smaller or flatter pillow sits loose inside it. Our Standard protector, at 20 by 26 inches, is the snug fit for those. Bought 4, one for each pillow in the house. They wash well, they dry fast on the line, and none of them have lost their shape. Good product, fair price for organic.

Loose on my other pillow

Works, but it's loose on my pillow from another brand. It's cut to their pillow sizes, which makes sense, but it bunches under my case. If you don't have their pillow, measure first.

Perfect pillow!

After trying the wool/buckwheat pillow that was too firm for my head, I was given a great deal on the Kapok pillow. This was definitely the winner for me. I usually use a firm pillow, but this one seems to be exactly what I needed. The filling seems to be getting a little more firm as the days go by so hopefully it lasts and continues to be what I've been searching for.

Feels like cotton, not plastic

Got it for the wool pillow since you can't wash wool and I sweat a lot. Zips all the way around and feels like cotton, not plastic. It's a little roomy on my standard after I took some fill out but it's under the pillowcase so who cares.

Does the job, runs a little warm
