The buckwheat pillow behind the viral sleep hack.

Christina shared the ancient holistic habit her followers saved by the thousands: sleeping on buckwheat hulls instead of foam. She is testing Circadian's version now, the one made with USA-grown hulls and a GOTS certified organic cotton cover, sewn by hand in our New Jersey workshop.

People have slept on buckwheat hulls for centuries. The fill shifts under your head, then holds, so your neck stays supported all night.

Start with the hulls.

Buckwheat is the holistic classic: firm, cool, and adjustable to your exact height. Buckwool adds a soft wool side, and organic wool brings the moisture-wicking comfort.

A note from Circadian

Why we partnered with Christina.

Christina's whole lane is the holistic habits people slept on for generations, brought back in a way that fits modern life. Buckwheat hulls are one of the oldest of those habits, and her video reminded thousands of people why the fill works.

We wanted her to test the real thing. Our hulls are USA-grown and cleaned through an air-jet process so they run quieter and cooler than the roasted hulls most pillows use. The cover is GOTS certified organic cotton, the part your face rests on, and every pillow is sewn by hand in our New Jersey workshop.

One pillow, dialed in over a few nights.

Every Circadian pillow ships overstuffed by about 30 percent. The side zipper opens to the fill so you can remove material a handful at a time and reach the loft your spine wants. If you take out too much, the fill goes back in.

Questions people ask first

Why buckwheat instead of foam or down?

Buckwheat hulls flex under the weight of your head, then interlock and hold, so your neck keeps its alignment all night instead of sinking the way foam does. Air moves freely between the hulls, which makes it the coolest fill we make. Our USA-grown hulls are pre-polished through an air-jet cleaning process into single-sided pieces that run up to 68 percent quieter than standard roasted pyramid hulls (our own air-jet measurement).

How does the 60-night trial work?

Sleep on the pillow for up to 60 nights. If it isn't right, return it for a full refund and we cover shipping both ways. Most loft calibration happens in the first two weeks, so 60 nights leaves room to settle in.

Is the buckwheat pillow heavy?

The buckwheat pillow is about 8 lbs, and the Buckwool Hybrid is about 10 lbs. The weight is the hulls, and it's part of why the support feels stable. You can lighten the pillow by removing hulls through the side zipper.

How do I adjust the fill?

Every Circadian pillow ships overstuffed by about 30 percent. The side zipper opens to the fill so you can remove material a handful at a time and reach the loft your spine wants. If you take out too much, the fill goes back in.

How fast does it arrive?

Most orders ship from New Jersey within one business day and arrive in 4 to 7 days with free ground shipping.
